Every year, more than 45,000 Rotary club members representing a cross section of business and professional leaders from 96 countries and regions arrive at the annual Rotary International Convention.
The convention, often called "a mini United Nations conference" is typically held in June. It features a four-day mix of workshops and discussions, as well as a showcase of Rotary's peace-related projects and programs throughout the world. Rotary clubs from around the world showcase community service projects that they have been involved with.
This is a great oppotunity to meet Rotarians from around the world who share the same service interests as us. It is fascinating to discover the similarities between our local clubs and other clubs throughout the world. Hear the next Rotary International President. Learn about new project ideas. Make contacts for future international projects. This is a very exciting experience. One that will surely expand your outlook on Rotary and the world!
The location of the convention changes each year. Two of the next three conventions will be held in North America!
2009 - Birmingham, England
2010 - Montreal, Canada
2011 - New Orleans, LA
Plan your calendars. Take advantage of our close proximity to Los Angeles and New Orleans!
