Greetings Fellow Rotarians,
It is a real honor to serve as your club president for the 2008-2009 year. The Rotary Club of Paso Robles is a strong club with nearly 120 members. This is the 85th year of service to the community.
There are several goals that I have set out for this year and would like to share them with you:
· I would like to see every member seek out a qualified potential member and invite them to club meetings.
· I would like to see our club sponsor a Rotary Interact Club at the high school this year.
· I want our community to have an increased awareness of our club involvement in Paso Robles as well as the world.
· I would also like to see a generous response to the Polio Plus Pledge Drive. Rotary International is responsible for eliminating Polio from all but four countries in the world. Rotary’s goal is to make the world Polio free.
I am truly proud of this club with so many members with unique talents and a strong desire to serve the community of Paso Robles. Because of these members we have been able to give over $35,000 to our high school graduates last year for their college expenses. This is accomplished by two major fund raisers that will be repeated once again this year. Those events are the Winemaker BBQ Cook-off and the Rotary Golf Classic. Thank you in advance for all who will be helping in the planning of those successful endeavors.
